The Lightning tattoo machine is set to be the perfect shader; running softer than the Telephone Dial machine, making it best for light shading work (i.e. portraits, black and gray, etc.).

When a softer approach is needed, this new machine can also be set to the artist's preference, be it soft, hard, fast or slow, cut back semi, cut back long or short throw.
